Dept. of Mining Engineering is the oldest Deptt. of this institute imparting quality teaching and training since 1958. In fact this was only one branch in this institute in between 1958 to 1996 and therefore institute was named as Mining Institute, Dhanbad. This Deptt. has completed 55 years of service rendered to Mining Sectors. The students passing out from this deptt. have hold the various positions, in government and private sector.
